The 69th IFLA Council and General Conference will take place at the International Congress Centre in Berlin (ICC Berlin), Germany from 1 to 9 August 2003.

The Conference Venue
The International Congress Centre Berlin (ICC Berlin) ranks amongst the most advanced and successful convention centres in the world. With 80 conference halls and meeting rooms, several foyer levels for exhibitions and superb technical installations, the ICC Berlin is the perfect choice for the IFLA 2003 conference. Generously equipped lobbies offer space for exhibitions, poster sessions and company presentations to accompany the congress. Located in Berlin-Charlottenburg, the ICC can be reached directly by bus, S-Bahn or U-Bahn from the major hotels. The ICC Berlin is designed to cater for the handicapped.

How to get there
The ICC Berlin can easily be reached by bus, S-Bahn and U-Bahn.
Bus lines: 104, 149, 204, 219
S-Bahn: S 3, S3, S4, S 7, S 9, station Westkreuz
S4, S 41, S 42, S 47 station Messe Nord/ICC (Witzleben)
U-Bahn: U2, station Kaiserdamm

If you plan to drive to the ICC Berlin, please follow the sign "Congress Centrum". The ICC Berlin car park has 650 parking places, with another 5000 places nearby. Parking fees can be paid with notes or coins. At the Neue Kantstrasse and the Hammarskjöldplatz (next to the ICC Berlin) parking space is free of charge.

Usually cream-coloured taxis are available when the light on the top of the vehicle is flashing. The average fare to reach the ICC from the Western city centre is approximately EUR 10, from the Eastern city centre approximately EUR 25.
