Call for Papers for Satellite meeting

Document Delivery and Resource Sharing

Theme:

"Resource Sharing, Reference and Collection Development in the Digital Age - a Practical Approach"

The IFLA Standing Committee on Document Delivery and Resource Sharing is seeking presenters for the August 2006 Satellite Meeting in Seoul, Korea. We are looking for presentations from the resource sharing and document delivery community around the world.

Potential presenters are invited to submit proposals by February 10th 2006, via either an e-mail attachment or fax, to:

Please include the following information in your submission:
  • Title of paper
  • Abstract describing the content of the paper (no more than 300 words)
  • Author(s) and Organization
  • Author presenting the paper (in case of multiple authors)
  • Means of communication including e-mail address, phone and fax.

Original papers on practical aspects of resource sharing and document delivery are solicited for the conference.

Topics of interest include:
  • Examples and/or experiences of providing quality service to users
  • Benchmarking and/or best practices for quality service provision
  • Practical issues in international interlending
  • Measuring service performance and/or user satisfaction with service
  • Intersection of Document Delivery & Resource Sharing with either Collection Development or Reference
