World Library and Information Congress: 72nd IFLA General Conference and Council
"Libraries: Dynamic Engines for the Knowledge and Information Society"
20-24 August 2006, Seoul, Korea

Call for Papers
Social Science Libraries and
Government Libraries
Theme:
"Partnership Building"
Do you know of projects that could be described as government and other
social science libraries and NGOs collaborating in the creation of
information and datasets that support development?
We hope to find people who have been impressed - positively and/or
negatively - by projects in which they are not themselves involved, and who
are willing to explain their impressions at the congress. Somebody
representing the projects will also be invited.
We hope for fruitful discussions after short presentations.
Topics to be considered include, but are not limited to, cooperative
development of resources concerning:
- health (e.g. AIDS)
- agricultural development
- support for indigenous groups
