How to become a delegateYou may still register at conference registration desk at the conference site. Please print the Onsite Registration Form and bring it with you. As of August 1 it is not possible to book any sightseeing tours. On-site you can book tours upon availability at the tour desk in the registration area on the 3rd floor of the COEX. Registration fees All prices mentioned below are quoted in Euro. The registration will be processed once full payment has been received. The conference organiser will not accept any bank charges associated with the transfer of money.
All IFLA members, regardless of category, will be entitled to register at the member rates published. If you are not an IFLA Personal or Institutional Member, but are a member of your national library association in Membership of IFLA, please contact your national association or IFLA Headquarters for the correct membership number. You can find the membership code also in the IFLA Directory or in the Online IFLA Membership Directory.This number should be entered on the registration form. If your registration form and payment are received after 15 May 2006, automatically the late fee will be charged. The registration fee coversDelegates: Accompanying persons: Note: This years' IFLA conference will be opened with a spectacular opening in the COEX convention & exhibition centre in Seoul. High Officials of Korea will attend the ceremony. We would like to inform you that in case your accompanying person would like to attend the Opening Ceremony, we kindly ask you to send your passport number, country and date of birth before August 1 to wlic2006reg@congrex.nl due to security reasons. ConfirmationCongrex Holland will send out confirmation of your registration within six weeks after receipt of your payment. If you have not received a confirmation letter six weeks after receipt of your payment, please contact Congrex Holland. A final confirmation will be sent to you four weeks prior to the conference. This final confirmation letter must be presented upon arrival at the pre-registration desk (the 'PAID' desk) if the account has been settled, or at the unsettled account-desk (the 'NON-PAID' desk) if a balance is still due.AlterationsAlterations to your registration will not be accepted over the telephone. Please fax, post or e-mail (wlic2006reg@congrex.nl) any amendments to the Conference Secretariat.Registration deadlinePlease note that the on-site registration fee applies after 1 August 2006. Moreover, on-site registration does not guarantee the availability of all congress materials and access to all social events. After 1 August 2006, pre-registration will close and all new registrations can only be done at the New Registration desk at the COEX during the Congress.Cancellations and refundsNotification of cancellation and refund requests must be submitted before 15 May, 2006 in writing to the
Congress Secretariat, Congrex Holland. The fee for cancellations received before 15 May, 2006 is Euro 50. Hotel ReservationImportant: You may contact the hotels directly for their own rates and availability. A number of Internet sites can be used to find hotels and book accommodation in Seoul. The following are some examples. Delegates use them at their own risk: Room RatesAll rates quoted on the hotel reservation form are per room per night, including breakfast and city tax and in South Korean WON. Deposits will have to be paid in Euro. The deposit will be deducted from your final hotel bill. Please note that the exchange rate used will be set approximately two weeks before arrival to Seoul. The deposit as calculated on the registration form will have to be paid to the congress secretariat directly. Only after receipt of the deposit or credit card guarantee, Congrex Holland will make the hotel reservation. Extension of payment until after the congress is not possible. Changes and cancellations for reservationsChanges and cancellations of reservations should be made directly to Congrex Holland in writing only. If notification of cancellation is received in writing by the Conference Secretariat before 1 May, 2006 we will charge your credit card for Euro 50 administration fee. If you have to cancel after the deadline the maximum of one night stay plus 10% of the total reservation costs will be charged. In the case where the hotel is able to re-sell the room only 10% of the total reservation costs will be charged. Please do not contact the hotel directly as all reservations are handled by the Conference Secretariat. ConfirmationWithin six weeks after receipt of your hotel reservation form with credit card guarantee or hotel deposit, you will receive a confirmation of your hotel reservation including name, address of your hotel and costs per night. If you have not received any confirmation six weeks after payment of your hotel deposit, please contact Congrex Holland. Hotel Categories and PricesThe prices of the hotel rooms are in South Korean WON, the
local currency. For the location of hotels please refer to the Map of Seoul.
Please note that we can only book a hotel for you if the deposit has been paid. The paid deposit will be deducted from your final hotel bill. Delegates are not obliged to book their hotels through the service offered by Congrex. We have visited the Hotel Prima Seoul and the Coop Residence Samsung Station
Hotel, and noted that these are clean and close to the conference
centre. These hotels are not contracted, but can be booked directly with
the hotels: Payment of the feesPayment can only be made in Euro and should be made in advance by:
Congrex Holland, the conference secretariat, will not be responsible for identifying funds transferred directly into the account when the name of the participant is not mentioned. Neither will bank charges of bank fees associated with the transfer be accepted.
