Call for Papers

Library History Section

Theme: The History of Libraries and Librarianship in Sub-Saharan Africa

The Library History Section of the International Federation of Library Associations (IFLA) invites proposals for papers to be delivered at its open session, on 'The History of Libraries and Librarianship in Sub-Saharan Africa', at IFLA's World Library and Information Congress, Durban, South Africa, 2007. The Congress runs from 19 to 23 August 2007. The open session, of 2 hours, will take place at some stage during this event. The date of the open session will be assigned in March 2006.

Papers are invited on any aspect of stated theme.

Proposals in the form of an abstract of 150 words (max.) should be sent by Monday 5 February 2007 to:
