Call for Conference Papers
Asia and Oceania Section

Theme: Information literacy for a knowledge society in Asia and Oceania

Information literacy, a cornerstone of the knowledge society, is the focus of the Asia and Oceania Section's Strategic Plan for 2004-2005. Asia and Oceania Section invites library and information professionals and researchers to submit proposals of papers to be presented in the Section's programme.

Topics of interest include, but not are limited to:
  • Innovative information literacy activities/programmes that meet changes and challenges in the region;
  • The use of ICT or distance education to support information literacy programmes;
  • Information literacy models and approaches that are useful in developing a knowledge society in Asia and Oceania.

Submission dateline for abstracts: 31 January 2004

Submission dateline for papers: 31 May 2004

Final notification of selected papers will be announced by February 2004, and a formal letter of invitation will be sent to paper presenters.
